7K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Bay Community Health (BCH) is seeking to hire full and/or part-time Patient Service Representatives for the medical health department at our Lothian location in Southern Anne Arundel County.
The PSR has overall responsibility for day to day operations of patient access, including scheduling functions, while providing excellent customer service.
Collecting, entering, updating and/or scanning patient information and documents into Electronic Health Record, verifying patient demographics and insurance, as necessary Checking patients in and out for their visits:
collecting any fees due such as co-pays, updating required forms, scheduling follow up appointments, completing referrals, and verifying patient has received any paperwork before leaving:
receipts, appointment reminders, lab orders, letters, etc.
as needed Answering phones, routing calls appropriately, taking messages and documenting in the Electronic Health Record, including managing the referral line Schedule patient appointments according to the guidelines set up for all providers.
Routing appointments for clinical triage when necessary Maintaining and managing an individual cash drawer, keeping amount accurate according to the Financial Policy Assist in coordinating patient transitions of care by requesting/obtaining medical records from hospitals, emergency rooms or urgent care centers and scheduling appointments as needed Participate in continuing education to keep abreast of changes in insurance plans, medical services, and regulations associated with working in a health care center Follow HIPAA guidelines in maintaining patient confidentiality and Code of Conduct Policy Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply Job Types:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
